A planning application has been put forward to build nine luxury homes in the middle of our local nature reserve. The impact of this will be to basically cut the reserve in half, which will have a dramatic effect on the wildlife and ancient woodland. This proposal has caused outrage among local residents, dog walkers and people who enjoy walking in these woods, which are famous for their bluebells, as seen in my video taken in June this year. For more information on the planning application and the campaign to prevent it from going ahead, please visit the Facebook page at Save Saltwells Nature Reserve.
